What is 2003 rav 4 engine?

The 2003 RAV4 came with two different engine options:

  1. The base model had a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 148 horsepower and 142 lb-ft of torque. This engine was paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic.

  2. The higher-end model had a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 161 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. This engine was only available with a four-speed automatic transmission.

Both engines were front-wheel drive, but the higher-end model could be upgraded to all-wheel drive. The 2003 RAV4 had an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21-24 mpg in the city and 26-29 mpg on the highway, depending on the engine, transmission, and drivetrain.
